Voters Choose Civic As Best Redesigned Car

The Honda Civic is the best redesigned vehicle for 2006, according to Kelley Blue Book.

The company, which helps set vehicle values, chose 10 vehicles with significant changes and gave online visitors a chance to vote based on before and after pictures and descriptions.

Twenty percent of the voters chose the Civic. The other results were:

  • Lexus GS 300, 18 percent
  • BMW 3 series, 13 percent
  • Mitsubishi Eclipse, 11 percent
  • Hyundai Sonata, 9 percent
  • Volkswagon Passat, 7 percent
  • Infiniti M45, 7 percent
  • Mazda MX-5 Miata, 7 percent
  • Mercedes ML class, 5 percent
  • Kia Rio, 2 percent
  • Price was not listed as a factor in the information given to voters.

    In the last two years the Ford F-150 pickup and Mustang won the award, but there were no domestic models in the final 10 this year.
