For anyone who has ever made it through the brutal four years known as high school, this movie is for you.

"Superbad," written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, is about the real-life experiences the two screenwriters had while in high school. (Rogen actually appears in the film as a devil-may-care cop.)

Rogen and Goldberg grew up in Vancouver, B.C., together and wrote "Superbad" when they were 13 years old.

The duo wanted to make "Superbad" because they felt current high school flicks didn't accurately depict the high school years.

Bringing those experiences to life -- at least on to the silver screen, are actors Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Bill Hader.

Before a recent interview at WPLG TV studios in Miami, it was clear from the foursome's interaction that they had indeed bonded like high school buddies during the film.

"We all get along in real life so I think we would've either been best friends or worst enemies," said Christopher Mintz-Plasse, who plays Fogell in the film.

Mintz-Plasse was plucked from his Los Angeles high school to play a role in "Superbad."

Hill said it was easy reverting back to his days as a hormonal high schooler while filming the movie.

"I actually moved back in with my parents during the shoot of the movie and it was awful, no privacy, "said Hill.

Hader was the only one interviewed from the cast of "Superbad" who didn't get a chance to act like a high schooler in the flick. But Hader said playing a goofy cop always chasing after the kids was just as fun.

"I drew experiences off the cops that use to bust us in high school," said Hader.

So whether you were a nerd, part of the popular click, a loner or none of the above, almost anyone will be able to relate to "Superbad."

"If you've been home schooled don't see it, you won't relate," said Hill.
