Jackman Takes Self Out Of Running For Antony Role

Actor Hugh Jackman will not be making movie-love to Catherine Zeta-Jones in the rock musical version of "Cleopatra" called "Cleo."Variety said that Jackman has taken himself out of the running for the role of Marc Antony."Cleo" will be directed by Oscar-winning "Traffic" filmmaker Steven Soderbergh.Jackman is hosting the Oscars Feb. 22. He then will reprise his role of the clawed mutant Wolverine in the X-Men movie prequel "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."Last year, Jackman was named People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" and starred opposite Nicole Kidman in director Baz Luhrmann's romance epic "Australia."The Australian native's film credits include "The Prestige," "Flushed Away," "The Fountain," "Happy Feet," "Van Helsing," "Kate and Leopold" and "Swordfish."Also a veteran of the stage, Jackman has had roles in such theater productions as "Carousel," "Oklahoma!" "Sunset Boulevard" and "Beauty and the Beast."Jackman won a Best Actor in a Musical Tony Award for his role in "The Boy From Oz."
