Conan O'Brien Takes Ax To 'Late Night' Set
TV Talker Gives Audience Member Chunk

Conan O'Brien is now in his last week as host of "Late Night," so Monday night he began celebrating in an unusual sort of way: He took an ax to his set and chopped off a piece for a member of the audience.O'Brien said that his old set is going into a Dumpster when he moves to the West Coast to take over the "Tonight Show."But, the television talker said that he didn't want it to go to waste, so he started chopping away. The audience cheered while O'Brien worked hard to hack off a piece.O'Brien walked off stage and gave a chunk to a man in the audience.O'Brien takes the reins of "The Tonight Show" from Jay Leno in June.Former "Saturday Night Live" cast member Jimmy Fallon is taking over O'Brien's slot.
