"Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" flew into Radio City Musical Hall in New York Sunday amidst hundreds of fans shrieking for star Daniel Radcliffe.
Radcliffe, who also played the boy wizard for "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," appeared stunned by the fans. The 14-year-old Radcliffe said he found it "really quite amazing" and trembled a bit as he waved at swooning teenage girls, some holding signs saying "Marry us, Dan!"Audiences can expect a more mature film this time, too. The third installment of the "Harry Potter" series takes a dark turn as the young sorcerer is sought by a murderous wizard who escapes from a prison for conjurers.Sixteen year-old actor Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy in the film, warns that the movie is a bit edgier and advises "You might want to go with your mum."Also back in the cast are Emma Watson as Hermoine, Rupert Grint as Ron, Maggie Smith as Professor McGonagall, Alan Rickman as Professor Snape and Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid. Michael Gambon plays Professor Dumbledore, replacing Richard Harris, who died last year.New to the cast are Gary Oldman as Sirius Black, David Thewlis as Professor Lupin and Emma Thompson as Professor Trelawney. The film was directed by Alfonso Cuaron, who took over for Chris Columbus, who directed the first two films. Columbus opted for a producer's role on "Azkaban."Plenty of kids dragged their famous mums to the New York premiere. Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins brought their kids, as did ABC's Meredith Vieira and model Christie Brinkley.Fans lined up outside Radio City Music Hall as early as 4 a.m., 12 hours before the start of the film, to snap an autograph or glimpse of their favorite star."Azkaban" opens in theaters nationwide June 4
