Hilary Swank Fined Over Airport Fruit Flap

"Million Dollar Baby" Hilary Swank is going to have to pony up $163 over a fruit flap in New Zealand.

That's the amount of the fine and court costs Swank will have to pay -- after she allegedly failed to declare an apple and an orange when she arrived at Auckland International Airport Jan. 15

Swank's fine, which came after an appeal, is over breaking the country's strict quarantine law.

The fine, handed down Wednesday, was for $142 -- plus additional court costs of $21.

The actress apologized in a hand-written letter, saying she forgot about the fruit after her 20-hour flight there.

Swank, who won a Best Actress Oscar for the 1999 drama "Boys Don't Cry," won her second statuette in the category in March for playing a boxer in the drama "Million Dollar Baby."
