Regis Up For 2 Emmys; 'World' Leads Nods

TV Vet Has Yet To Grab First Emmy; 'As The World Turns' Leads Nominations

It used to be Susan Lucci's problem. Now Regis Philbin is going to try to break his losing streak with the Daytime Emmy Awards -- and he'll have two chances to do it.

Regis Philbin

With zero wins in eight previous tries in the talk show host category and another loss in the game show host category, Philbin grabbed Emmy Award nominations once again Wednesday for "Live With Regis" and "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire."

Lucci, meanwhile is back in the hunt after missing out on a nomination for best lead actress in a drama series last year. Lucci got her 20th nomination for "All My Children." She has won only once after her first 18 tries. Lucci's nod this year for "All My Children" is one of 21 that the drama series grabbed this year.

"As the World Turns" led all the nominees with 25 nods.

The Daytime Emmys will be handed out May 18 at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
