Sheen: Richards' Claims Part Of Smear Campaign

LOS ANGELES -- Actor Charlie Sheen is calling his estranged wife Denise Richards' accusations against him "vile" and "baseless."

A judge on Friday ordered Sheen to stay at least 300 feet from Richards and their two young daughters except during supervised visits.

In court papers, Richards claimed that Sheen threatened to kill her, abused prescription drugs, had violent mood swings, was a compulsive gambler and loved kiddie porn.

Sheen told People magazine that Richards is on a "transparent and immature smear campaign."

He said Richards' effort isn't aimed at protecting their kids, as she's said.

"This is about hurting, this is about punishing," Sheen said.

Richards filed for divorce in March after three years of marriage.

People magazine's Web site reported that Richards is now romantically linked to Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, and published a photo of the couple holding hands.

Sambora and his estranged wife, actress Heather Locklear, split earlier this year after 11 years of marriage.
