Texas Man Left Legally Blind, Without Sense Of Smell

A Texas man had a morbid but celebratory party to mark 30 years with a bullet in his brain.Jim Saunders was celebrating on Aug. 24, three decades to the day of being shot by his now-ex-wife."I have a .25-caliber bullet lodged between the halves of my brain," he told TV news station KTXS. "And I survived."The bullet did leave him legally blind and without a sense of smell. His wife was sentenced to 20 years for attempted murder, but was released after four years for good behavior.Saunders said he holds no ill will toward his ex-wife and doesn't know where she is these days.
