BUNAWAN TOWNSHIP, Philippines -- It took a team of 30 men 21 days to capture what could be the largest crocodile in captivity.Bunawan Township Mayor Edwin Cox Elorde told The Associated Press that dozens of villagers and several veteran hunters helped hunt the 21-foot croc.He said the sight was intense."We were nervous but it's our duty to deal with a threat to the villagers," Elorde told The Associated Press by telephone. "When I finally stood before it, I couldn't believe my eyes."It took 100 people to pull the monster crocodile from the local river to its new enclosure at a planned ecotourism park.Witnesses said they saw the huge saltwater crocodile devour a water buffalo. The beast is also suspected to have eaten a fisherman who went missing in July.
