Tip: Nutmeg

Freshly grated nutmeg is more aromatic and flavorful than preground nutmeg. Use a nutmeg grater, which can be purchased in a kitchenware shop, to grate the entire nutmeg. Stored in a jar, whole nutmeg will keep its flavor for years.
