Tip: Yogurt

Be sure to check the expiration date when buying yogurt. The watery layer in yogurt cartons is the whey rising to the top; stir it back in. It has nothing to do with the age or quality of the yogurt.

Paulette Mitchell, a culinary instructor, television personality, and the author of 10 cookbooks, is known internationally for her quick-to-prepare recipes with a gourmet flair.
