Prevent Dry Hands, Lips In Colder Weather

Use Rubber Gloves When Washing Dishes

Just because the weather is getting colder doesn't mean your body has to show it.

dry hands

Hands get chapped easily as the weather changes, so you should pamper yourself a little while doing your chores.

Use rubber gloves if you're washing dishes by hand. But before you put them on, use moisturizer on your hands and make the water a little hotter than normal. The moisturizer will penetrate your skin like a professional massage.

If you don't have rubber gloves, skip the steaming hot water to avoid chapped hands. Try lukewarm water instead.

But hands aren't the only things that cold weather targets. It also targets lips.

Instead of chapsticks, try antiwrinkle creams. They are extra-hydrating and won't cause chaffing or cracking on your kisser.

And there's nothing worse than static hair from wearing a hat.

But getting rid of your favorite winter hat isn't an option, so run a fabric softener sheet on your hair before you put on that hat to prevent flyaway strands.

Did you ever notice that your favorite perfume loses its power in the winter? That's because cold air reduces the strength of the fragrance.

Go a little heavier when you spray or get a more powerful scent, so it's sure to last all day.
