Want To Watch Basketball? Try Vasectomy

Urology Institute Brings Back Tournament Program

POSTED: 8:10 am CDT March 11, 2009

Men who get a vasectomy should rest for a few days, so an Oregon urology clinic is once again offering a special promotion for men who get the minor surgery right before the start of the NCAA basketball tournament.

The Oregon Urology Institute calls the program Snip City 2009, according to CNBC.

The clinic offers 24 slots, and patients also get an ice chest and frozen peas to help with recovery.

The men's basketball tournament's first two days -- a Thursday and Friday featuring 32 games, many with the potential for memorable upsets -- are considered one of the sports highlights of the year.

Other doctors, such as those at The Urology Team in Austin, Texas, also have deals tied to the tournament, CNBC said.
