Super Bowl: Tackle Healthy Eating
Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday, a day of food and festivity. Before the crowd arrives, take steps to set a super table.Warm up with plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean protein and lower fat desserts. Line up the appetizers with vegetable kabobs, fat-free yogurt dips, fruit and cheese or tortilla roll-ups.For the main course, set your line up with lean protein choices like three bean chili, deli turkey and ham sandwiches, layered with lettuce, tomato and cucumber slices. A pot of vegetable soup comes off the bench with an easy way to score nutritional points.Dessert choices to wrap up a winning day include brownies made with cocoa, trifle made with frozen fruit, non-fat yogurt and angel food cake.
