GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A new device, called Zeno, promises to zap zits, reported WXII-TV in Winston-Salem.Zeno, a mini-machine about the size of a cell phone, leaves you with a clear face in 24 hours, the station reported."It uses a technology called clear point, which delivers a precisely-measured dose of heat to the pimple, destroying the bacteria in the pimple," said Dr. Cecil Farrington.Zeno came out a few months ago, and some women's beauty magazines are calling it a breakthrough."When I tried creams and face wipes, stuff like that, the results weren't as quick as this was," said high school student Brandon Kern.In a Food and Drug Administration study, 90 percent of the people using the Zeno had 100 percent clearing in 24 hours, the station reported.Farrington, the owner of SonaMed Spa in Greensboro, said the product is easy to use."We have seen excellent results," he said. "We haven't had anybody that's had to go to three treatments on any pimple yet."Zeno costs about $235 and comes with 90 treatments.
