It's possible to spend your holidays relaxing on a Caribbean beach even if you don't have a passport. Just head to the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico for some of the best winter weather and Christmas lights around.

Join the families strolling along the Paseo de la Princesa, where light-strung arches and trees, a life-sized Nativity scene and stalls selling everything from churros to wooden ornaments await. The promenade ends with a 20-foot-tall Christmas tree facing San Juan Bay.

The best part is Christmas festivities in Puerto Rico last from early December to Three Kings Day on Jan. 6, when children lure the camels of the three wise men with hay in exchange for gifts.
