An error in an online promotion resulted in Domino's Pizza giving away nearly 11,000 pizzas, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.Tim McIntyre, Domino's vice president of communications, told the newspaper that the company created an online-only promotion in December for a free pizza using the codeword "bailout." But the free-pizza offer never got the official OK, and the deal was never activated. However, as McIntyre told the Enquirer, the promotion was never turned off, either. On Monday, a customer stumbled upon the coupon and spread it around the Web. The Enquirer reported that by the time the coupon was officially shut down on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. ET , nearly 11,000 pizzas were given away.Dominos said it would reimburse all of its local stores for the amount of free pizzas they had to give away.
