NEW YORK -- The Super Bowl has always attracted big advertising dollars and this year is no different. The cost for air time on this Sunday's game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Pittsburgh Steelers runs a record $83,000 per second, or $2.5 million for 30 seconds.View Ads: Special Section: Super Bowl XL Consultant Robert Passikoff of the company Brand Keys said the big game remains attractive to companies because it gives them "bragging rights." He said viewer numbers may have eroded, but there's still an enormous audience. For Super Bowl ads to be effective, Passikoff said, advertisers need to follow up with more information on the Web. The Super Bowl ad blitz begins hours before the kickoff, which is set for about 6:30 p.m. Eastern time.
