About 22,000 7-ounce Sam's Choice Belgian Milk Chocolate Bars, imported by Brach's Confections, Inc., are being recalled because they may contain undeclared almonds.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions.

No illnesses have been reported.

The upper right corner of the back panel of the recalled bars displays a "Best by" marker with the code D2551A2 Dec. 20, 2006.

The chocolate bars are distributed by Wal-Mart stores nationwide.

Those who have purchased chocolate bars with the specified code date should return them for a refund.

Consumers can call (800) 282-6303 or visit the Food and Drug Administration's Web site for more recall information.
