Mega Millions Jackpot Grows To $220 Million

The jackpot in the multistate Mega Millions lottery drawing has grown to $220 million. None of the tickets sold for Tuesday night's $189 million drawing matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball. The next drawing will be Friday night. There were 17 second-prize winners from Tuesday night's drawing, matching all five lotto numbers but not the Mega Ball number to win $250,000 each. The winning numbers drawing were: 2, 12, 45, 46 and 56.The Mega Ball number was 20.This jackpot has been growing since Feb. 28, when Mega Millions had its most recent jackpot winner. The jackpot has now rolled 12 times without a winner. The odds of winning the jackpot are approximately one in 176 million.Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.
