LOS ANGELES -- Courtney Love is suing Geffen Records over
Nirvana music.
In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles, she wants to invalidate a
1997 agreement.
Love is the widow of Kurt Cobain (pictured, left), who committed suicide in 1994.
Love (pictured, below) said that the deal with Nirvana bandmates David
Grohl and Krist Novoselic was signed by her under duress. Her
lawyer accused Geffen of mismanagement.
Love wants to regain sole control of the grunge rock group's
master recordings, videos and other materials.
Love and Geffen had already been at odds over her band, Hole,
which the label accused of failing to deliver albums. She claimed
that contract with the company is unreasonable.
