As long as we're talking about the future of Vegas, I thought we should talk about the future of this column, specifically what I've got in store for you the reader in the coming weeks.

I've got a major research trip to Vegas coming up that will result in several new show reviews, info on a few new restaurants, the latest on some hot new nightclubs, updates on new and old hotels, and much more.

On the show front, I'm currently scheduled to see the inimitable "kooky-koo" girl, Charo, currently experiencing a major career revitalization with a well-received show at the Venetian. And speaking of new career chapters, I'll also be seeing Sheena Easton at the Las Vegas Hilton.

Other shows I'll be taking a look at include magician "The Amazing Johnathan" at the Golden Nugget, singing family The Scintas at the Rio, magic and pretty girls "Showgirls of Magic" at the San Remo, impersonations galore with "The Rat Pack is Back" at the Sahara, and a lot of skin of both genders in "Skintight" at Harrah's and "Thunder from Down Under" at the New Frontier.

For your dining pleasure, I'll bring you reviews of the new Gustav Mauler signature restaurant, BullShrimp, at Green Valley Station, plus I'm finally getting a chance to visit two well-regarded eateries: Stivali at Circus-Circus and the Market City Caffe at Monte Carlo. I'll also be checking out the new buffets at Green Valley Station and The Palms.

Speaking of those two hotels, I'll be doing official visits to both of them to bring you my impressions of the latest additions to the Las Vegas landscape.

In addition, I'm going back to see New York-New York, the Riviera, the Sahara, Lady Luck, and the JW Marriott to get a refresher on how those hotels are doing.

I'll also be putting on my "trendy casual" to visit some new nightclubs including the ultra-chic Light at Bellagio, Coyote Ugly at New York-New York, Ghost Bar at The Palms, Seven on the Strip near Monte Carlo, and the recently remodeled Gipsy on Paradise Road.

Boy, the things I do for you people! Watch for these new reviews to start appearing in late February and early March.
