Travel Deals: Europe Deals, Win Belize Trip
Now, I'm not one to go around "dissing." When you are contentedly "chilling" with your "peeps," I'm the last "dude" to wish you "ill will" in your "recreational pursuits."
But I'm afraid I must levy a minor criticism of the below Quickie Fare Roundup, compiled by my colleague Chris E. Keedei. First of all, the name is rather suggestive. Second of all, great as those prices may be there are better ones available though travel consolidators.
Take American Airlines -- please! Ho ho, levity is fun, is it not? But seriously, folks, no, seriously, please stop your hysterics, it's time to get serious -- to take an example, American Airlines' top deal is a $312 round-trip ticket between New York and London.
Impressive, n'est pas? But Cheap Tickets (www.cheaptickets.com or 800/377-1000) were able to match that rate on American, while Travac (800/872-8800 or www.thetravelsite.com) offers the same American Airlines tickets for $260. And if you're under 26 years old, a teacher or a full-time student younger than 31, you can get that same ticket, still on American, for only $185! The company for that one is Council Travel (800-2COUNCIL or www.counciltravel.com), and the deal lasts through Saturday.
And this is just one example. There's no shortage of other great deals on these sites. Root around in them and you'll see what I mean.
Bet you never thought of buying European day-trips from your Californian home. Well, maybe that's why you're a loser and I'm a winner. What I mean by that is, do like I do. Do what I tell you. And don't ask why.
Next time you're planning a European vacation, check out www.ticketsto.com. You can make reservations for all the day tips that are tough to get.
And right now you can get them at a 10% discount if you book by December 15. And you can use those tickets far in the future, even next summer.
For a list of the tours that are eligible for the price cuts, and to book the tickets, and for more information, and for a recipe for a delicious apple crumble, go to www.ticketsto.com.
Deadline for the contest: October 31.
