Limp Bizkit Joins Million-Seller Boys Club

Rock-Rap Group's Latest Album Debuts At No. 1

Limp Bizkit became the third band to debut with a million-seller in its first week of release, following the 1.1 million sales of Backstreet Boys' "Millennium" and the 2.4 million mark 'N Sync's "No Strings Attached," according to Reuters.

Limp Bizkit's 'Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water'Daily Variety reports that Limp Bizkit's Interscope release "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water" sold nearly 1.06 million units in the week that ended Sunday, according to SoundScan data.

The band, which was three cities into its "Anger Management" tour, had to postpone a date Tuesday after lead singer Fred Durst suffered a case of swollen vocal cords.

Limp displaced last week's pole sitter, Ja Rule's "Rule 3:36," which fell to No. 2 on sales of nearly 177,000 units. Fellow Def Jam act Ludachrist posted the second-highest tally of all the debut discs, landing "Back for the First Time" at No. 4 on sales of 133,000-plus.

The Baha Men, whose "Who Let the Dogs Out" gets more airplay at sports stadiums than any other tune, rose to No. 6 after selling almost 118,000 units. The rest of the top 10 is filled with discs that have been holding steady for several weeks: Mystikal's "Let's Get Ready" sold 110,000 for No. 7; 98 Degrees' "Revelation" sold more than 93,000 units, slipping to No. 8; Madonna's "Music" dropped to No. 9 on sales of 92,000; and 3 Doors Down's "Better Life" posted sales north of 90,000.

Among significant debuts were rappers Kweli and Hi-Tek's "Reflection Eternal" on Priority (58,000, No. 17); Everlast's Tommy Boy disc "Eat at Whitey's" (49,000-plus, No. 20); Profyle's "Nothin' but Drama" on Motown (almost 28,000 sold, No. 50); and Johnny Cash's Columbia/American disc "American III: Solitary Man" (16,000, No. 88).
