Want to win something groovy? Then enter the Lifewhile.com @ The Movies, Anchor Bay Entertainment, and Sideshow Toy "Evil Dead" and "Army of Darkness" contest.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the horror film classic, Anchor Bay has released the film in a limited edition "Book of the Dead" case, which is modeled after the Necronomicon in the film.
The DVD package includes the original film with commentary from star Bruce Campbell, director Sam Raimi, and producer Rob Tapert; a brand new featurette tracing the film from its humble beginnings to its legendary status; "Fanalysis," a 26-minute short film by Campbell that examines the film's fanatical following; 16 pages of original artwork, and more.
Celebrating the continuing success of the "Evil Dead's" second sequel "Army of Darkness," Sideshow Toy is releasing two 12-inch collectors dolls of Ash (Campbell) and Evil Ash from the film. The doll's run has been limited to 10,000 each.
The grand prize-winner will receive the "Book of the Dead" limited edition DVD, as well as the Ash and Evil Ash dolls.
Four first prize-winners will receive either an Ash or Evil Ash doll, and four runners-up will receive either the standard edition of the "Evil Dead" DVD, or the "Army of Darkness: Bootleg Edition" on DVD.
All editions of the "Evil Dead" DVDs are in stores now. The "Army of Darkness" dolls will be available in April-May.
The contest ends March 26. Winners' names and cities of residence will be posted on the Lifewhile.com @ The Movies contest winners' page. Winners will be notified by e-mail and will receive their prizes by mail. The contest is for U.S. residents only. For contest rules, click here.
