Bonnie Raitt Gets Star On Hollywood Walk
Singer Joined By Famous Father For Ceremony

Grammy-winner Bonnie Raitt received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday as several hundred fans watched.
Raitt's star was unveiled in front of her record label, Capitol, at 1750 Vine St.
The singer's father, veteran Broadway crooner John Raitt, was also on hand to perform "Oh What a Beautiful Morning" and ended the song with "Everything is Going Bonnie's Way."
Raitt took a break from touring in support of her 16th album, "Silver Lining," an album which she said is her best so far.
The tour kicked off on March 30 in Madison, Wisc., and ends June 16 in Vancouver, B.C.

Raitt has won nine Grammy awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. Along with her father, Raitt was inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame in June 2002.
The Walk of Fame was designated as a cultural and historic landmark by the city of Los Angeles in 1978.
Actress Joanne Woodward received the first star placed on the Walk of Fame on Feb. 9, 1960.
