Movie Reviews: The Limey

Critics are showering praise on Steven Soderbergh's The Limey, starring Terence Stamp, Peter Fonda and Lesley Ann Warren.

Geoff Pevere in the Toronto Star waxes almost poetic in his description of it at first: "Sparse yet rich, elementary but evocative, pared-down yet almost poetically resonant, The Limey ... is a resounding reminder that, as far as action-movie potency goes, nothing goes down sweeter than revenge."

He then sums up later in his review: "It kicks ass thoughtfully."

Joe Morgenstern begins his review in the Wall Street Journal this way: "Writing about Steven Soderbergh's The Limey makes me want to see it again -- to savor its nervy originality, to reexamine it from different angles."
