Celebs Chatting Monday
One great thing about living in Minneapolis is having the association with what many consider to be the greatest, most charming sitcom of all time. New Yorkers have "Seinfeld," SoCalers get "Models, Inc.," but we've got Mary and you can't take that away from us. What made the show great, really, was the indefatigable pluck of its star, Mary Tyler Moore, who's teaming up soon with Valerie Harper for a Mary and Rhoda reunion movie. Check in with Mare on talkcity.com at 4 p.m. EST, 3 p.m. CST, 1 p.m. PST.
You don't love me, you just love my Doggystyle. Yes! I've been waiting to say that for years; it's from the classic Snoop Doggy Dogg video "Gin and Juice." It's tough to slip into conversations; again, more proof that Snoop is cooler than I'll ever be. Snoop's now part of Master P's No Limit empire, but he's still best known for "What's My Name," "It's a Doggy Dogg World," "Murder Was the Case," etc. He'll be chatting today on chat.yahoo.com at 9 p.m. EST, 8 p.m. CST, 6 p.m. PST.
Hey, now, you're an all-star, get your game on, hey, hey. I haven't been waiting as long to say that, but it's also a tough one to slip into conversations. Smash Mouth is the band behind that smash hit, as well as "Walking in the Sun," two multi-platinum albums, one Grammy nomination, and plenty of mad props. Chat with them on chat.yahoo.com at 10 p.m. EST, 9 p.m. CST, 7 p.m. PST.
AOLers only: Topher Grace was plucked from high school plays to star as Eric Forman, the main character of "That '70s Show." Word has it that the plays in question were at the high school attended by the daughter of the show's creators. If only someone had seen my show-stopping performance as "Dancer No. 3" in Poughkeepsie High's production of "42nd Street" ? but no regrets, gotta be happy for Topher, the lucky bastard. He'll be chatting with paid, registered AOL members on tvguide.com at 7 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Central, 4 p.m. Pacific.
In a fair, just world, there would be a hilarious moment between LeAnn Rimes and Busta Rhymes at some party in which they share a good laugh over their similar names. "Hey, we're long-lost cousins!" they could say. But the brutal reality is that Busta doesn't often go to prayer meetings, and LeAnn doesn't often chill wit' the Flipmode Squad, so ne'er shall their twain meet. Sigh. Anyway, young country singing sensation LeAnn will be chatting on disney.go.com at 7 p.m. EST, 6 p.m. CST, 4 p.m. PST.
