Vegas Hotels Offer Cheap Rooms In July
Rates Cut Across The Board

LAS VEGAS -- The summer months are among the slowest in Las Vegas. Because of this, it's often a great time to visit the city if you're looking for a bargain on hotel room rates.
In July, some of the prices are so low it's almost shocking. Your experience may vary, depending on what day of the week you're traveling and how long you're staying, but this is what I found:
Harrah's is offering rooms for as low as $45 on the weekdays and $100 on the weekends. That's as much as 50 percent lower than the normal rates, and it's a really good hotel. Down the street at Excalibur, they're as low as $65 during the week and $120 on the weekends, but if you want to be in that neighborhood you can do even better across the street at Tropicana, which has rooms for as low as $50 weekdays and $110 weekends.
At the other end of the Strip, some of the best deals can be found at the Stratosphere, which has rooms for as low as $40 during the week and only $70 on some weekend nights. That's remarkable for this caliber of hotel.
Also in the really cheap range are the Sahara, which is running as low as $40 weekdays and $80 weekends, the New Frontier as low as $40 weekdays, Circus Circus as low as $46 for weekdays, the Flamingo as low as $56 weekdays, and Bally's as low as $60 weekdays.
Moving up a rung on the price and amenities ladder, New York-New York is offering rooms starting at around $80 during the week and $150 during the weekend, while next-door neighbor Monte Carlo is only a few dollars more at $95 and $160, respectively.
One of my favorites, Luxor is running as low as $80 weekdays and $140 weekends, while the Palms, a new, hip hotel just off the Strip is about $10 cheaper than that.
If you want to go downtown you can get a real steal at Lady
Luck, which is offering weekday rates as low as $36, while the Golden
Nugget, undeniably the nicest hotel downtown, is running as low as $60 weekdays and $86 weekends.
Even the more expensive hotels have discounted prices for summer. Paris is offering weekday rates as low as $90, Mirage as low as $100 weekdays and $140 weekends, and Caesars as low as $110 weekdays.
As usual, the Venetian and Bellagio will cost you the most, but at around $150 per night during the week, you're paying a lot less than you would normally at those hotels.
