Question: A few buddies and I will be hitting Vegas in a few weeks. As a group of guys in their mid-20s, we want to hit all of the good topless revues. We are looking for shows on the more explicit side vs. the artsy side. Can you recommend any good shows? Also, do any of the casinos have any topless bars or lounges? What else are the "must sees" for bachelor-type crowds? Appreciate your advice.

Answer: Thanks for your question, Ron.

Explicit probably isn't the best word for the Vegas topless shows. You won't see anything there that you don't see on HBO every night. But the racier shows would be Skintight at Harrah's, Crazy Girls at the Riviera, and to a certain degree La Femme at the MGM Grand, although whether their artsy execution is truly racy or not is a matter of opinion.

Shows like Jubilee, Folies, and Splash are more traditional topless-showgirl type affairs, and while good for what they are, they certainly aren't stimulating.

I've also heard good things about the new show "Showgirls" at the Rio, although I haven't actually seen it myself so I can't guarantee anything.

If it were up to me, I'd save my money and hit a strip club instead. You'll probably spend about the same amount of money and you'll get much more up close and personal, so to speak. Olympic Gardens and Club Paradise are the nicest, Tally Ho and Striptease are the raunchiest (but in a good way). There's also a new place called Jaguar that is opening any day now that is supposed to be the biggest, wildest strip club in all of Vegas. I'll have more information on it on the site and in my column in the next few weeks.

None of the hotels have topless lounges, although Shadow at Caesars does have women in body stockings dancing behind opaque panels and scrims. The shadows they cast make it appear as if they are naked, but you don't actually see anything and it isn't all that special.

I'd also be sure to go and hit the nightclubs -- The Beach, Baby's at Hard Rock, rumjungle at Mandalay Bay, and Studio 54 are the wildest, while Light at Bellagio and Whiskey Beach at Green Valley are the nicest.

I hope all this helps -- have a great time.
