Answer: Hey, Chris, what a fun question. Thanks for sending it in.

To be honest, if money was no object it probably wouldn't change my Top 5 favorite hotels all that drastically -- I'd just stay in a nicer room! But, I think the list would probably go something like this:
  1. The Mirage -- Say what you want about Bellagio or the Venetian, I still think this is the classiest, nicest, most comfortable hotel in Vegas.
  2. Caesars Palace -- Those really cool Roman-themed rooms with the tubs next to the bed are expensive, but true Vegas fun.
  3. The Venetian -- OK, OK ... I admit that these giant suite-like rooms are certainly luxurious.
  4. The Four Seasons -- This is one that wouldn't normally make it on my list. But if money were no object, the level of pampering you get at this frighteningly expensive hotel is definitely worth thinking about.
  5. Luxor -- The one-bedroom suites at the top of the pyramid are almost decadent in both layout and amenities.

As far as my Top 5 casinos to play in, the list changes every time I go to Vegas because my favorites are usually those in which I win something. But as a general rule, the list would look something like this:
  1. Green Valley Ranch -- Big enough to be entertaining, small enough to not be overwhelming, and rewarding enough to keep me coming back.
  2. Stratosphere -- I've won a lot of money at this place, so that makes me naturally predisposed to like it, but even without that angle, a recent remodeling has made it a really nice place to gamble.
  3. Mirage -- One of the most understated casinos in all of Las Vegas, but still with great energy and an open and airy layout.
  4. Luxor -- Vibrant is the word I use to describe this casino, with lots of action, lots of appropriate Vegas noise and fury, and lots of kitschy Vegas fun.
  5. New York-New York -- Everything I just said about the Luxor applies here as well.
