Breast cancer is a disease that affects close to one out of every four women.

How it gets treated varies on the stage of cancer and the woman's choice. But for women who chose a mastectomy, there's a new option in prosthetics.

It's called the Tria Contact Light. It's lighter weight than other options, and the "pearls" on the back of the form adhere directly to the chest, for a more secure and comfortable fit.

The Tria Contact Light was developed by Amoena, a company that specializes in products for breast cancer patients.

"Amoena is widely recognized for the all-day wearing ease of its light-weight collection," said Anne Becker, breast forms product manager. "Now, we are marrying that popular idea and the concept of a self-adhering breast form. When we talk to women about the attachable concept, what grabs their attention right away is the peace-of-mind they would enjoy with a really snug, holds-close, stays-put fit."
