An Oklahoma jeweler has returned a stolen ring he bought to the 102-year-old woman who lost it.

Larry Rowell, of R&R Estate Jewelers, said he bought the ring from a person who had bought it from someone else, reported KOCO-TV. He said when he found out that it had been stolen from Edna Levy, he knew exactly what he would do.

"There are more important things than money, and getting this sweet lady her ring back was my main goal," Rowell said.

Levy's ring was a Christmas gift from her husband in 1976. She said she wore it every day until it was stolen last month. Two people, including a nurse's aide who worked with Levy, were arrested in connection with the case on Wednesday.

"My husband bought me a lot of pretty jewelry, but I missed this one so much," Levy said.

Rowell said he had no idea when he bought the ring that it was stolen. When he heard about the theft on television, one phone call to police helped pave the way for a reunion.

"I told (police) that I had the ring and I thought it was hers and everything has progressed from that," Rowell said. Rowell returned the ring to Levy on Wednesday.

"It gives me great pleasure to hand you your ring back that you lost a month ago or so," Rowell told Levy as he gave her the ring.

"I didn't think I'd ever see it again," she said.

Levy said it's the second time she's received the ring as a Christmas present. She said no one will get it away from her again.

"I'm going to wear it all the time," she said. "When it's on my finger, nobody is going to get it."
