Mystery Cam: The Cam Of Mystery

Hello! I'm back from a brief vacation, ready to do the Webcam/Netcam/Mystery Cam thang again. Thanks to Laura Bobendrier (or, as she's known on tha streetz, L-Bob) for picking up the mantle and running with it to the land of good and plenty, or something along those lines. Despite the whole "lasagna" incident of a few days ago, she's good people, and y'all should be seeing her more.

snapshot200I know what you're thinking. I know exactly what you're thinking. You're thinking, "You know, that Fran Drescher is delightfully sassy!" Well, stop thinking that and pay attention.

You see, I like winter. I even like it when it's deathly cold and snowy; it allows me to feel manly and rugged. And in my line of work (I'm a door-to-door salesman for The Body Shop), you take every opportunity for manliness that you can get. The testosterone really gets flowing when you battle your way through a blistering snowstorm and then tell someone, "Pulverized Nepalese papaya fronds can exfoliate your skin's olive glow."

So in that spirit, I send you this majestically bleak snowscape. Where is it from? Do you know? No, I'm serious, I really need you to tell me this time because I already forgot. To figure it out, surf through the links provided above. Then email me with any and all guesses.

Last Week:

Last week's installment featured a shot from Chaweng Bay, Koh Samui, Thailand. For the clue, you had to know that Thailand was the setting of a 1999 film called "Brokedown Palace," in which Kate Beckinsale and Claire Danes get busted for trying to smuggle illegal drugs. The winners, whose prizes include being mentioned here and a plateful of Grade-A Thailand cocaine (prize void where prohibited) include Elaine Kelley, Dan Condrey and Mike Sprague.

Clues:

The shot is from a cold location, where snow exists. It's a place known for having a dock, water, and a tree. People have been there, as well as animals and plants.

And just in case that doesn't totally give it away, let me tell you that one thing about this place is that it is forever. A killer northern sports hero is from this state, and it's home to an oddly-named Street.

Let's see how you do. Guesses?
