Stan Lee Teams With Playboy For 'Superbunnies'
Show Features Hef, Playmates Fighting Enemies Of Democracy

Move over, "X-Men"; the "Hef's Superbunnies" are soon coming to save the day.
According to Reuters News Service, Marvel Comics guru Stan Lee (pictured, left) is teaming with Playboy magazine to create the new animated series, which will feature the famed publisher and a sophisticated squad of playmates fighting the "enemies of the democracy."
In addition to "X-Men," Lee has created such comic book legends as "Spider-Man," "The Incredible Hulk" and "Daredevil." Each of the comic books were turned into animated television series and, eventually, feature films.
Richard S. Rosenzweig, chairman of Playboy Enterprises production arm Alta Loma Entertainment, said the 30-minute series will be developed for "mainstream" television, and will have no nudity.
"Hef's Superbunnies," which is in its early developmental stages, will be a joint venture between Alta Loma and Lee's animation company POW! Entertainment. Rosenzweig says Lee and Hefner have admired each other for years.
Hefner, 76, is a cartoonist himself, who made comic books in his high school years, according to Reuters.
Lee, 80, also recently helped the newly renamed TNN cable station, Spike TV, develop the adult animated series "Stripperella," which features the voice of Pamela Anderson.
Lee most recently appeared in a cameo role with Lou Ferrigno in the big screen version of "The Hulk."
