195,000 Pounds Of Turkey Added To Recall
Listeria Concerns Over Pre-Cooked Poultry Continue
Waco-based Cargill recalled 17 million pounds of meat last month because of possible listeria monocytongenes contamination. The company announced Wednesday that it added Honeysuckle White Hickory Smoked Turkey Ham to a list that already includes more than a dozen varieties of packaged meats from the company's turkey products division.
The recall affects Cargill's precooked turkey and chicken products produced from May 1, 2000, to Dec. 11, 2000, at its Waco facility.
