Britney Spears is in a zone of her own.
The pop starlet was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles Monday, tying "Little House on the Prairie" star Melissa Gilbert as the youngest person ever to get the honor.
Spears, 21, said she was "serious speechless" about the getting the star to the crowd of 2,000 onlookers.
"This is something that I've dreamt about since I was a little girl," she said.
The honor came on the eve of the release of her new album "In the Zone," which was released Tuesday.
The album features the song "Me Against the Music," a duet with controversial pop icon Madonna.
Madonna caused a stir Spears at the MTV Video Music Awards in August with an open-mouthed kiss during the opening number of the show.
