NY Subway Workers: 'Rate My Rat'

New York City subway workers want you to rate their rats on a new website aimed at calling attention to rat infestations at area transit stations.

Transport Workers Union 100 said it is offering a free unlimited MetroCard transport pass to whoever uploads the best photo or video of the rat hordes onto the website ratfreesubways.com.

The site also offers a share your "Rat Tale" section for subway riders to vent about their face to face rodent encounters.

On the website, the union stated that "Aggressive rats are bolder about coming onto the platforms, and have even been known to bite riders."

Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials told TV station NY1 that they have been cooperating with the transit union and have cleaned at least 20 stations to address the infestation. But they say the rodent problem is still far from resolved.

The TWU said the "Rate My Rat" beauty contest ends on Jan. 15.
