They may have had each other at "hello," but now Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney are saying "good-bye."

Oscar-winning actress Renee Zellweger and the reigning Country Music Association entertainer of the year Kenny Chesney will have their 4-month-old marriage annulled.

Chesney's and Zellweger's people confirm the split, but offered no other comments. In court papers filed Wednesday, Zellweger listed "fraud" as the reason for the breakup -- but didn't elaborate.

People magazine and "Entertainment Tonight" first reported the breakup, which brings to an end a whirlwind romance that began shortly before a surprise wedding in May.

Apparently it had been love at first sight when they met Jan. 15 at a benefit for tsunami victims. In May, they had a small, surprise wedding on the beach near Chesney's home in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

In a statement released to "Access Hollywood" shortly after the wedding, Chesney said: "I am incredibly happy. I may well be the luckiest man alive … to be so in love with someone who is so perfect for me, it's just hard to imagine that I'm not going to wake up."

Zellweger is known for her roles in such films as "Jerry Maguire," "Bridget Jones's Diary" and "Chicago."

She won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in "Cold Mountain" in 2004.

Chesney was named Country Music Association entertainer of the year in November, while his "When the Sun Goes Down" was named album of the year.

Zellweger is 36. Chesney is 37. It was the first time either of them had been married.
