Rental Car Deals

Now is the time. It's time to rock, it's time to roll, time has come today, the night time is the right time, it's a hot time in the ol' town, time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin', into the future. It's also Miller time.

But more importantly, it's time to get lots of good travel deals. Now we're in the travel doldrums, between the big summer season and the bigger holiday season. And it's at the early part of the doldrums, so you could beat out even the other early birds.

I'll give you an example. You can get a rental car from Advantage for as low as $14 a day, until September 30. But it really only applies to the Western states. Try arac.com or call 800/777-5500 for more information.

Or how about another example? For all of North America, you can get an Alamo rental for 20% off. Go to alamo.com, click the "20% off" ad, and enter Request Rate Code YQ.

And then there's Enterprise: For as low as $10 per day you can get a rental, for weekend rentals between noon Fridays and noon Mondays. This one applies until October 30 at almost all U.S. locations. Go to www.enterprise.com or call 800/RENT-A-CAR.

And so forth. Basically any rental car provider that tickles you fabcy is having some sort of special deal right now. So take advantage!

Plan For Mardi Gras Now

Do you know how to party?!?!?!? No really, I need to know. Don't say "HELL YEAHHH!!!" unless you actually do have a background in the basic ins and outs of partying methodology.

Personally, I've studied the foundational principles behind "partying" through periodicals and primary source material, so I think I would know a thing or two about both breaking it down and getting jiggy with it. And according to my learned conclusions, one of the best places to bust a proverbial move is New Orleans during Mardi Gras.

But when people go down there, they don't plan ahead. Sure, careful planning may not fit in with the wild and/or crazy style of the festivities, but hey, you can just make up a story about how you reserved such a great room for so cheap.

But you'll know that the real story is that you took a seven-night cruise from Port Manatee, Florida for $709 per person, which stops in New Orleans for two days at the peak of Mardi Gras.

It's on the Regal Empress, and the deal is through consolidator Cruise Value Center. For more information call 800/231-7447 or visit www.cruisevalue.com.
